Team Paradox Robotics (TPR) is a FIRST robotics team from San Dieguito Academy in Encinitas, California. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), was founded in 1989 to inspire students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math. They do this by having students work together with professional engineers and scientists to build a robot. Every year there is a new game with new tasks for the robots to accomplish. The game is revealed early each January - then we have six weeks to design, build and test our robot before it is shipped away for competition. 2007 was our rookie year, in 2008 we made huge progress, in 2009 we won two spirit awards and placed 2nd at the Arizona Regional event, and the 2010 year is looking bright.
